At Ritchie Bros. we pride ourselves on doing things right, and that includes supporting the people and communities where we do business around the world. Whether it’s sponsoring a youth sports team or raising funds for cancer research, we’re proud to help make a positive impact wherever we can.
To help us make the greatest possible impact, we focus our support on three causes that are most important to us, and to our customers: youth, health, and the environment.
We support programs that give young people skills they can use to build successful futures for themselves and others around them, especially sports and athletics programs that promote team building and leadership skills.
We are pleased to support many kids who would otherwise not have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities because of financial difficulties.
A large portion of our charitable funding goes to health initiatives – especially causes that are near and dear to employees who have been personally affected, or know of someone who can benefit from our support.
Currently we support a number of health organizations and initiatives, many connected with youth, such as hospitals and autism organizations.
As a global company, we realize how important it is to reduce our carbon footprint and our impact on the environment. Our environmentally friendly facilities and LEED certified headquarters are leading examples of our commitment to the environment.
We give employees opportunities to participate in environmental activities, and proudly support many environmental organizations and initiatives.

We provide financial and non-financial contributions to the organizations we support. Our professional auctioneers lend their talents to dozens of charity auctions each year, mostly in conjunction with a broader sponsorship.
We also conduct three main charity auctions each year: the CIM auction at World of Concrete, which supports training in concrete industry management; the American Rental Association (ARA) Foundation charity auction at the Rental Show; and the Corporate Kids Challenge charity auction, which supports KidSport BC.

Please note: as much as we would love to support every good cause, we cannot. Most of our charitable spending is decided on an annual basis, and goes to organizations we support on an ongoing basis.
